There are times when most of us don’t feel we belong,⁣
When we feel alone even amidst loved ones, or family⁣
When we wonder: ⁣
“Will I ever find my people?!Maybe I’m just an epic weirdo.”⁣
⁣
And then as we become more ourselves we start to meet our Soul Family- because they can finally recognize us! Those beings who will cross our paths and change our lives forever!
⁣
On this trip to India and Nepal I have felt a sense of spiritual family and home that blew me away...
Like true belonging. ⁣
So natural, that it even took me by surprise!⁣
⁣
Why? I believe it’s because I am more authentically me than ever before. No parts of my self are abandoned or left out of the picture of who I am. And therefore I am attracting Mirrors in the people around me that are more complimentary than ever!⁣
Because I am truly accepting all of me.⁣
⁣
The gratitude for this family who have all changed my life is immense. @sahdsimone who fearlessly lead this trip has truly changed my life in one million ways. Because of his introductions I was featured in the New York Times, met my book agent and got a book deal. His bright light inspires me daily. And because of him and @moundsimone saying “Come here. We wanna be with you!” I came back to NYC this past spring and was met with SO much love. These two have changed not only my outer world but my inner world in ways that only Soul Family can do. The laughter, the play, the joy, and the challenges are those that speak karmic volumes and are clearly beyond this lifetime. ⁣Adding new epic fam- @itsjackiecantwell + @ianjamesdaniel makes me beyond blessed to have wisdom, power, freedom and so much more reflected at me.

I am so grateful to my epic courage, that allows me to be the whole weird messy loud spiritual wise sensual loving sassy me and attract the most epic people now in my life from this place of self acceptance!⁣

I am proof it can be done. ⁣

As You accept yourself in all your broken and messy and wild and weird others can meet you there!
But you gotta meet yourself there first!⁣
Take that epic leap!

So let’s use it to inspire each other ⁣!⁣

And not take this life for granted !⁣⁣

If I could go back and take back all the moments I was annoyed and angry at my parents for not being what I wanted them to be, or behaving how I wanted them to behave, and instead just choose to love them in those moments, I would.
I do now and it’s the greatest gift I have given to myself, and in turn to them.

It’s a practice to love the people around us or ourselves even when we are a mess or not at our best.
its a beautiful one that is worth the time.
Compassion.
A fierce heart that loves even when shit gets tough.
This is the practice.

If I could only count how many tears have dropped from these eyes in the last days- tears of sadness laughter joy grief — so many ! My heart has been touched so deeply by the journey I am on that I barely have words for it. The last 3 days I spent meditating in caves in the Himalayas. Something that I have dreamed of, but never thought I would do. ⁣
⁣
At one cave where a female saint meditated, I was terrified to squeeze into the tiny hole and be lifted up into the cave where there was barely any air. But once I got in I held hands with two dear women, Jackie and Moun, and we meditated in silence. Tears were streaming down my cheeks immediately. My heart felt like it was exploding into 100 stars, or like warm honey was poured onto it, like a sun was blasting through my chest. Tears dropped down my face again and again. ⁣
⁣
I through that was my big test, but there was another cave, that you had to crawl deep into the Earth down for. The Snake Cave. The Demon Cave. The Underworld Cave, the Tibetan Buddhists call it. Where you could barely move, and the walls of the cave pressed in on each other. This was extremely difficult for me.⁣
⁣
My heart started racing as we descended. The tunnel was getting smaller and the walls pressing in and the air thick. I stopped halfway and began to weep. To sob. To shake. I said to Moun: “I don’t want to go any farther. This is my edge.” It was the exact point where the monk guiding us said “We are about to cross into the Underworld.”⁣

I told Moun “I am going to stop here. I am done with the underworld for now. I’ve spent so much time there. I don’t want to keep going into the darkness just because I am strong enough to take it. I can push through the discomfort, but for once I am going to not push.”⁣
⁣
I’ve done a lot of wild things this life. I’ve faced my own personal darkness in many a ceremony, a retreat, and in the world. And I’ve put myself and my well being aside to prove a point of my strength and power at times. And in this moment I chose ME instead of proving that I could crawl into this dark tiny cave. My body was saying enough. My heart was saying enough.⁣..Continues in comments 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Today one of my dreams came true which was to do ritual and practice in a temple dedicated to Kali. I got to visit two! One in a valley. One on top of a hill. The one in a valley was wet and cold and birds were flying around rapidly. My feet were barefoot on wet and slimy stone. I was blessed by a priest. I offered flowers and lit candles.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We reached the temple on the top of a hill, after a long climb and it was closed because of the earthquake, but I couldn’t take no for an answer and so the men let us in. I pulled out all my ritual objects and went for it. Meditated. Prayed. Offered everything I want to let go of there as waves of energy rippled through my body. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The energy wasn’t easy at either temple. Not like the gentle love I felt wash through my heart in Krishna’s land. Or the peacefull yet fiery masculine buzz I felt in the Buddhist tantric initiation from the day before. It was facing more shadows to bring them to light. Facing my fears in shining, rising, and letting go of the past. ⁣⁣

My path of making art out of my healing, my awakening, my transformation has always been an exploration of all the depths of my being.

Through facing fear.⁣⁣
With snakes. ⁣⁣⁣
Ayausca. ⁣⁣⁣
Mushrooms. ⁣⁣⁣
Japanese rope bondage. Masculine / feminine partner practice. ⁣⁣⁣
Storytelling. ⁣⁣⁣
Art. ⁣⁣⁣
Meditation. ⁣⁣⁣
Breathwork. ⁣⁣⁣
Embodiment work. ⁣⁣⁣
Lunar ritual. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
GOING TO THE EDGES and coming all the way back to the Light. ⁣⁣⁣

Watching the women in my Transformational Programs and Retreats blossom and rise and churn and burn and grieve and mourn and transmute and transform like gorgeous pieces of art this year was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.

This way of RISING and healing is not for the faint of heart. It’s for the wild and weird and fearless and feral and creative!⁣

How to Move Through Old Shit Fast with Fire So it’s not a Constant Buzz of Anxiety or Distraction from the Present...

My preferred methods, best done in a private space:
When the fear hits
Or the anxious feeling
Or the old bullshit comes tugging at your sleeve
Excuse yourself
Close a door
Put on your favorite playlist
Commit to not giving a fuck if you look stupid
Commit to not letting all the shit fester under the surface and turn into IBS ulcers and migraines
Moan
Hiss
Growl
Cry
Sob actually
Dance wildly
Shake your limbs
Write ferociously
Sing loud
Cough
Burp
Get it up and out
No hanging on!
No pretending !
No spiritual bypassing!
No denying!
No business as usual!
Stop at face each fear
Until it’s cooked
And then when it’s done say
BYE
Take a
Salt bath
Burn some incense
Rub oil on your body
Feed yourself root veggies
Be gentle !
You’ve just healed something !
You’ve released it from your body !
And your spirit !
Way more than just the mind.

Now keep doing that on repeat til it feels CLEAR
And then choose a New Story
A New Path
And when that old shit comes to visit
Repeat the above!

Being in India is terrifying and thrilling-
I asked Kali Ma when I came:
Take from me all that is not free.

I want to show up better to my life.
I want to believe in myself more fully.
I want to be less distracted by relationships that aren’t a full YES and move on more quickly to make space for Love that can fully meet me.

So I keep asking, even when it hurts: Take from me all that is not free.

I want to believe I can keep manifesting big things for myself.
I want to let go of some of the traumas that still echo in my brain and heart, that come and tug at my Presence, taking me out of the present moment.
So I keep asking: Take from me all that is not free.

I want to be able to hold each of my clients like an oak tree, like Mother Mary, like a wise sage- even more than I do now.

I want to inspire others around me with laughter and tears and peace oozing from my skin.

So I keep asking: Take from me all that is not free.

This is not an easy process. The process of asking to see everything that is blocking you from being FULLY present. To feel the little fears that keep you from receiving and giving love freely. To not be afraid of your own depths and what’s hiding in there.

And it’s Day 4 of 24. It’s all happening. With love ♥️
